Homeowners, small businesses and schools may yet get a chance to rent solar power
panels, rather than having to buy the power generation gear for tens of thousands of dollars.
The Public Utilities Commission on Wednesday voted 3-0 to open a case and look into the issue. Chairwoman Jo Ann Kelly, who dissented in a related vote two weeks ago, joined the majority when Commissioner Rebecca Wagner agreed to expand the scope of the review. Read full story:

A survey of Washoe County business and financial services, life sciences and software
companies indicates continued job growth and expansion over the next three years. The Business Builders phase two survey reports future expansion resulting in 550 new jobs, 100,000 additional square footage and $39 million in new capital investment by 2011.
The survey comes during an economic slowdown nationally and locally and Reno/Tahoe economic development officials say the forecasted growth indicates executive confidence in the market. Read more:
